He holds a Master’s degree in Law and State from the Faculty of Law of the University of Brasília (UnB) and a bachelor’s degree in Law from the same institution.
He is professor of Criminal Law at the Law School of Brasília of the Public Law Institute (IDP) and was a substitute professor of Criminal Procedure at the University of Brasília (UnB).
He is a researcher at the Candango Criminology Group at the University of Brasília (UnB). He was awarded the rank of High Distinction of the Order of Judicial Merit of the Federal District and Territories (2012).
